April, 2011 – We have moved:

December, 2010 – ESCO project underway:
We have now begun delivering courses for our ESCO project, helping people to improve their money management skills, and save for post-secondary education.
October, 2010 – Call for partners:

May, 2010 – National Task Force on Financial Literacy sets up meeting with EFLS:
The Government of Canada’s recently formed Task Force on Financial Literacy is wrapping up its cross country consultation tour. EFLS has forwarded to the Task Force, a written submission with regards to its perspective on the current state of financial literacy in Canada and will be meeting with the Task Force in June 2010.
The fact that the federal government has formed this task force signifies the need for greater financial literacy programs & services in Canada. EFLS is proud to be a leading pioneer in financial literacy in this nation and is looking forward to its future role with respect to financial literacy in Canada.
May, 2010 – EFLS’ new and improved web site is up and running:
The organization recently implemented a re-branding strategy resulting in a new logo, a new slogan and expansion of services to reach clients and agencies across Canada. With professional consultation & technical assistance from Trafik Design Inc., EFLS proudly launches their revised and revitalized web site.
March, 2010 – CIBC confirms additional funding for EFLS programs
CIBC confirms that an additional $25,000 will be donated to EFLS in support of its Aboriginal Financial Literacy program as well as its Women Building Futures financial literacy program.
February, 2010 – YWCA’s Youth Eco Internship Program provides office assistance to EFLS
In conjunction with YWCA’s Youth Eco Internship Program; Jessica Hamilton joins the EFLS team for the remainder of 2010, to provide office / clerical support to EFLS Executive Director: Nigel Kidd and Administrative Assistant; Harry Wong.

EFLS provides a number of courses to meet its participant's needs. Where possible, courses are provided in partnership with other organizations. Through each course EFLS helps each participant to explore the relationship they have with their money, and how to make lasting changes to improve their quality of life.
